Animal feeding tests using Association of American Feed Control Officials procedures substantiate that Eukanuba Large Breed Adult Formula for Dogs provides complete and balanced nutrition for maintenance. Please follow feeding instructions on the bag. These guideline amounts are a starting point and your dog may need more food depending upon age, activity, and temperament. In order to reach an optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake. If your dog appears overweight or obese, or requires less food to maintain optimum body weight than the amount listed in the feeding guideline, Eukanuba suggests a reduced fat diet like Eukanuba Reduced Fat. This chart represents the total recommended volume of food per day. You should divide the total cups recommended by the number of times you feed your dog per day to get the actual portion size per feeding. Feed this formula to large breed dogs (51 - 90 lbs.) one year and older and giant breed dogs (over 90 lbs.) two years and older. Not recommended for pregnant or nursing bitches. Remember to have clean, fresh water available for your dog at all times. Because Eukanuba Adult Large Breed Formula is complete and balanced, you do not need to add vitamin or mineral supplements. Portions are based on the use of a standard 8 oz. measuring cup. Made in the USA.

 My Dogs get a "10" from the Vet November 2, 2008
I have been feeding my dogs Eukanuba for six years. They LOVE it! When I go on vacation and have to feed them something different, their fur isn't nearly as soft and shiny as when they are eating Eukanuba. Their Vet says their fur is a "10"! One of my dogs is a therapy dog. When I first adopted him, he had been abused and didn't have much fur. The Vet recommended Eukanuba because it has more Omega 3, to help my dog's sensitive and dry skin. Cooper has been going to school with me for 5 years. The students will lie on the floor and use him as a pillow. The most frequent comment, other than "Why don't you bring Cooper more often?" is "He's so soft!"

I had bad luck with this dog food (my dog had loose stools all the time). I did some research at www.vastpet.com and noticed Eukanuba was part of the recent recall scandal - I thought they were one of the bests. I did my research and went with a holistic pet food.
